Position Summary:
The General Sales Manager within our Patriot Division is responsible for achieving sales goals and objectives for brands, for developing distributor relationships and for providing overall leadership to sales managers and representatives.

Daily/Position Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned):
•Works with supplier and portfolio manager on designing and developing monthly sales programming and brand priorities.
•Provides guidance/direction to sales managers and representatives regarding brand priorities, monthly sales goals and merchandising aspects. Works with portfolio manager on tracking and monitoring monthly sales goals / objectives and for ensuring sales processes are practiced by all.
•Responsible for ensuring overall sales goals and profits are achieved. Provides weekly portfolio analysis to VP and President of Wines.
•Works with Marketing and Financial Analyst on budgets, asset allocation and programming needs to ensure supplier goals are obtained.
•Responsible for building and developing a strong sales team. Provides coaching and training (individual, group) and assists with employee relations management.
•Conducts full and half year sales reviews for entire division.
•Develops retail trade relationships with top 100 accounts state-wide.
•Conducts effective (informative, energizing) sales meetings.

•Bachelor’s degree and eight to ten (8 – 10) years’ distributor sales management experience (budgeting, sales planning, business strategy) within the industry is required.
•Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage & develop sales force.

The ideal candidate will be goal orientated with a strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize within a multi-tasking environment. Highly motivated with the ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines; must possess strong analytical, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills are also required. Must demonstrate intermediate level of proficiency within Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
