Scope of Position:
Responsible for member service functions for Brown-Forman Employees’ Credit Union, a state chartered credit union with assets of approximately $12 million, loans of $6 million, and membership of approximately 1400 members.

Basic Function:
Performs the main teller related duties and member service functions for the credit union utilizing credit union software to process and distribute cash or checks; record deposits and loan payments, and responds to member inquiries. Provides account information by phone or in person to members as well as market the credit union’s full range of products and services offered
Respond to members’ requests and inquiries of services offered in a professional and confidential manner. Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services in order to promote the credit union to new and existing members.
Performs main teller duties which include maintaining a teller cash drawer for processing cash withdrawals and check cashing for members. This includes reconciling account balances in the credit union system and balancing the cash drawer nightly.
Maintains the credit union’s check register, clearing daily checks, and performing monthly balancing of the check system as well as scanning credit union checks for deposit daily.
Responsible for ordering members Visa debit cards and personal checks.
Responsible for processing and mailing of monthly and quarterly member statements.
Assists with processing approved loan documents in the credit union system.
Coordinate payroll deduction changes with the B-F Payroll Dept.
Maintain credit union member files in an orderly and efficient manner.
Assist the manager with monthly graph analysis for board meetings.
Assist with organizing educational seminars for the membership.

Must Requirements:
Ability to independently manage and complete assigned workload within established deadlines in a high pressure, team environment utilizing initiative, discretion, and independent judgment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of personnel within Brown-Forman and with external contacts.
Proven analytical mathematical skills; ability to handle detailed information with a high degree of accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive financial information.
Previous customer service experience with an outgoing, highly energetic personality

Preferred Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in the Finance/Accounting field with a minimum of two years of experience; or five years equivalent education/experience combination.
Experience in the Credit Union or Banking field.
