Distillery No. 209 marries the best of traditional Old World distilling techniques and time-honored ingredients with a passion for excellence, innovative thinking, and a willingness to take risks to create No. 209 spirits. One of the pioneers in the American craft distillery movement, Distillery No. 209 launched No. 209 Gin on Pier 50 in San Francisco more than a decade ago. No. 209 handcrafted spirits include the flagship No. 209 Gin (recently rated one of the top gins in the world), 3 Barrel Reserve Gins and 2 Kosher-for-Passover spirits. Distillery No. 209, is hiring a Brand Ambassador to handle the greater San Francisco/NorCal market.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, motivated, organized, passionate about spirits, and a team player. This is a full-time position for a self-directed and hard-working individual who desires to represent an artisan line of spirits handcrafted in San Francisco.

The position will report directly to the President of the distillery, but you will work closely with the entire distillery team.

Responsibilities include:

• Grow placement of No. 209 spirits in the top on-premise/off-premise accounts in NorCal, with a focus on San Francisco.

• Increase the number of accounts carrying No. 209’s full line of spirits.

• Secure menu-placements for No. 209 spirits in new and existing accounts.

• Plan and execute on-premise/off-premise events and tastings.

• Represent No. 209 Gin at consumer and trade events.

• Build advocacy through education with bartenders, off-premise sale associates and consumers.

• Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting clients and make appropriate recommendations.

• Work closely with Southern Glazer’s to educate distributor sales teams and service accounts including work-with, off-premise merchandising, staff training, and attending tradeshows among other duties.

• Engage in brand activities through social media.

• Track account interactions through GreatVines CRM.

• Work closely with marketing team to create on-premise partnerships and content opportunities.

• Passion for gin and a deep knowledge of spirits.
• Digitally active.
• Competitive and inquisitive nature
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Mixology experience a plus.
• Conducts business with the highest level of integrity.
• Flexibility in schedule for night and weekend events.
• Experience growing and building brands.

The ideal candidate must possess outstanding sales skills, customer service skills and an unmatched work ethic. You must be detail oriented and maintain the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Liquor industry experience is preferred but not necessary.
