The Old Forester Distillery is an interactive, consumer experience designed to showcase the craftsmanship and authenticity of Old Forester, America’s first bottled bourbon. We will give our consumers a look into how Old Forester comes to life and each team member will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and authenticity of this experience as they interact with our consumers throughout their visit of our Home place.

Responsible for planning and coordination of material for production and purchase to support the Old Forester Family of brands. Ensure accurate and timely delivery and payment of materials. Lead site TTB compliance documentation and reporting. Expertly lead company resources and capital to support annual volume of barrels and finish good cases.

Basic Function:
The coordination and planning of material purchases to support production of Old Forester. To include but not limited to Labels, Shrink bands, Knock Downs, glass containers, cooperage material as well as inventory levels for these materials. Timely availability, appropriate approvals, ad new product launches for these materials and brands. Work with internal and external contracts to assist with coordinating testing and approval of new and alternate materials. Lead supplier relations, managing costs, resolving supply and payment issues. Participate on CQS prioritization team. Serve as scheduler for OFD bottling. Initiate and participate on continuous improvement teams to establish zero-loss mindset, SOPs and Employee Involvement while effectively partnering with others to leverage skills. Oversee material quality of incoming raw materials and finish goods.

Accurately plan material purchases to support OFD distillation, cooperage, and bottling plans. Materials include but not limited to Labels, Shrinkbands, Flavors, Knock downs, glass, and cooperage supplies to support OFD.
• Plan for annual OFD bottling schedule while limiting exposure for material obsolescence.
• Plan for annual OFD cooperage schedule while limiting exposure for material obsolescence.
• Plan for annual OFD distillery schedule.
• Coordinate with BFDO, and BFC Material Planning & Procurement Specialists to ensure PO’s are created and issued to guarantee production materials are available as needed to support production schedules (distillery/cooperage/bottling).
• Ensure materials are being produced to BF specifications working with BF Packaging, QC, QA, and R&D teams.
• Work with PMO and Brand Manager on new product launches and packaging redesigns to ensure that new materials are planned, approved and available to meet project timelines.
• Work with internal and external partners on continuous improvement initiatives to ensure we deliver high quality, cost-effective products. Understand supplier constraints and limitations to successfully meet BF needs.
• Coordinate the activities associated with SAP Inventory Management and SAP WMS ensuring consistency and accuracy of plant SKUs and finished goods inventory.
• Responsible for maintaining compliance in accordance with regulations specified by the Alcohol Tax & Trade Bureau (TTB) for the export of bulk spirits and finished goods.
• Maintains knowledge of hazardous material transportation requirements for domestic shipments: DOT/IMDG/TTB/NATA
• Oversee material quality and support QC specialist and functions.
• Ability to communicate with visitors.
• Communicate/coordinate with OFD Homeplace Manager to schedule dock operations for material delivery.

Must Requirements:
• BS in Business Administration or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in a production environment; or 10+ years combined education and experience.
• Advanced levels of computer literacy in order to operate various software packages.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coordinate, and close multiple projects in a changing environment.
• Analytical thinker with a broad base understanding of the alcoholic beverage industry in order to develop short and long term plans.
• Effective interpersonal skills, ability to develop and maintain good working relationship with Technical Service staff and production management.
• Understanding of TTB compliance and regulations.

Preferred Experience:
• Certified by APCIS and/or Certified Purchasing Professional (CPP) and/or Senior Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM).
• Previous experience with US Customs and BATF regulations as they relate to alcohol and flavor knowledge and experience with ISO 900002 requirements.
• Knowledge of TPM tools and Continuous Improvement routes to drive for results.
