Job Description:
The Manager of On-Premise Strategy role will be responsible for day-to-day agency management and facilitation of one of our major on premise agency relationships in Inspira. This role requires a strong analytical, strategic and detail oriented background to provide information, communication, financial and tracking detail to key stakeholders. This person will work with the sales divisions, CP&A, and the brand teams to ensure we are aligned with our On-premise strategy. Day-to-day the manager will help ensure we are on-track to deliver the Activation Army KPI’s, programming, and information with the greatest ease, simplicity and speed. This role will oversee the delivery of goals and objectives of programs through clear and targeted communication.
Additionally, the On-Premise Strategy Manager will help to manage our menu programming, including tracking, platform integration, agency relationship, and communications.
The ideal candidate for this role is looking to expand their depth of knowledge about the on premise channel and grow within this role into a key player within our on premise activations across the customer marketing function.

Financial Responsibility:
The position will be need to be adept at managing a budget on behalf of the On-Premise Strategy team. There will be significant involvement in management of CPS for the budget and event management reporting purposes both internally and externally. A strong analytical mind and attention to detail will help the ideal candidate succeed in this role.

Complexity of Role:
Candidate will have a basic understanding of the On-premise channel, business, financials, products, agencies and the distributor/broker environment. Must have a strong understanding of distributor management in a 3 tier system and demonstrated successful direct sales capability or financial management in past roles is a plus. Strategic thinking and strong. communication skills will be critical to the success of this role as you will need to manage across financial systems, agency relationships and communications to the sales teams.

Management Responsibility:
Attention to detail, budget management, resource allocation, performance reporting, collaboration and communication will be key drivers to ensure success. This role reports to Director, On-premise Strategy and is part of the larger on premise team.

Summary of Key Outputs / Deliverables:
• Oversee and collaborate on direction of the Activation Army- a millennial consumer focused program with 200 specialists in over 40 markets across the U.S.
• Responsible for the coordination, integration, and implementation of brand strategies and programming
• Communicate across multiple stakeholders and manage Key Performance Indicators.
• Oversight and management of the menu strategy occasion based work.
• Support the compliance agenda for the broader team against the Diageo Marketing Code and Diageo Code of Business Conduct.

• 4+ years of experience in Spirits, Beer and/or Wine Industry On Trade – Distributor experience preferred.
• Familiarity with the structure and nuances of different markets, divisions, distributors, and brokers throughout US.
• Experience with managing multiple outside agencies.
• Proven budget management experience.
• Knowledge of industry Regulations, market trends and competition.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
• Proven ability to influence across varying levels within an organization, managing up, down and across the business.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
