This role is lynchpin for delivering/executing Diageo US Spirits Net Revenue Management agenda – developing and executing suggested consumer and trade pricing with central pricing team, Sales, Finance, and Distributors. Role is responsible for driving FOB price increases / decreases, analyzing and setting suggested distributor and retailer prices and margins, optimizing trade spend, and testing and enhancing new systems + processes. Day to day work includes combination of system work in wide variety of existing and emerging systems and heavy cross collaboration with IT/GDBS, Distributors, and Division Sales/Finance teams. Role has accountability for price increases/decreases and implementation of the trade spend Missions optimization program.  The role will also be in charge of deploying the new distributor reimbursement payment tool.

Financial Responsibility:
Responsible for analysis of pricing and trade spend in the SGWS East.
markets.  This corresponds to FOB price adjustments at a state level, analysis of appropriate divisional segment of total Diageo trade spend and suggested distributor discounts.  Responsible for helping deliver incremental NSV / GP through optimization of 10-15% of low performing trade spend.

Complexity of Role:
Work across multiple teams / stakeholders to drive pricing delivery: Divisions, Finance Teams, and Distributors.   Influence to make better decisions to maximize NSV and GP. Work with GDBS on development of next generation pricing analytics, tools, data, automation.
 
Key Outputs/Deliverables:
Performance Management
-Lead development of annual FOB price, discount plans,  promo calendars.
-Development of monthly financial forecast for FOB pricing / discounts.
-Work with central Rev Mgmt team/sales to identify pricing opportunities.
- Embed F18 Missions optimization program concept
- Deploy the new Distributor payment/reimbursement tool
-Validate corporate pricing strategy and support for innovation launches.
-Manage development, maintenance and communication of price changes and promotional calendars to internal personnel and distributors.

Analytics:
-Create insightful, actionable monthly analysis of pricing  results.
-Support price planning / decision making (analytics/ M&E).
-Evaluate and analyze pricing promo requests
-Drive deal level analytics, Diageo / Distributor suggested margin analysis, conduct project based analytics.
-Price Model Administration - maintain frontline price changes, support calendar, suggested price models and local pricing data (taxes, freight, etc) – multiple systems:  VIP/DO, RM/Anaplan, MSBI, AIP/Qlik.

Communication:
- Align FOB price changes / suggested discount support changes with sales + distributors.
- Resolve distributor inquiries on pricing process/data/system issues, e.g. ASM rate payments.

Training / CARM:
-Train Sales / Finance on pricing processes / tools - embed capabilities.
-Act as Super User support on new pricing processes and tools
-Understand legalities in each market and provide guidance on applying central suggested pricing strategies.
 
Experience:
- Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) required
- MBA/post graduate education a plus but not required
- Strong track record in analytic or finance roles, commercial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to perform analytics and use results to drive outcomes
- Able to build strong relationships; excellent influencing skills
- Expertise in one or more of: pricing / promo analytics, tool development, syndicated data, trade terms optimization, promotional effectiveness, finance
- Familiarity with multiple data sources e.g. syndicated sales data, financial data, and consumer data.
