ROLE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Regional Sales Manager, the candidate will be responsible for all on and off premise sales aspects, distributor management, sales meetings, new item presentations, brand kickoffs, pricing and promotions, and budget management. They will be traveling 50%+ of the time to develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts and future networks of all tiers.

Distribution Network Development and Management
• Evaluation and development of the network of distributors across the country in coherence with existing sales channels and the company’s strategies
• Definition and implementation of special programs and a calendar of activities in partnership with distributors (ride-withs, events, key account visits, sales incentives, etc.)
• Execute sales and marketing activities in line with agreed Business Plan, and continuously work with distributors to continue building brands’ presence
• Cultivate strong relationships with both distributors and key customers.
• Distributor market “ride-withs” to ensure sales execution, pricing integrity, and brand building initiatives are implemented alongside distributor sales staff and ability to work independently to develop the relationship with existing accounts as well as open new accounts.
• Coach distributor sales members to educate them on our brand, brand activation. initiatives/incentives and execution standards
• Identify and actively exploit new business opportunities in terms of new distribution and new routes to market.
• Effectively train, support and motivate sales teams (tastings, staff training, etc.)
Brand Management.
• Coordinate promotional actions for on and off trade markets and ensure coherence with the marketing strategy.
• Manage new product development in the US
• Suggest and build promotional and incentive programs.
• Suggest marketing tools, identify and network with key market influencers.
• Ensure the branding development and awareness
Business Analysis, Planning and Performance.
• Act as a market level expert: manage, monitor and report performance and market trends.
• Suggest strategy adaptation to the team if/when necessary and recommend new product development or product adaptation to meet domestic demand needs.
• Manage promotional budget.

DESIRED PERSONAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES
• Experience in the wine/spirit industry is mandatory (ideally at least 3 years).
• Knowledge of and experience leading and selling wines/spirits at both the wholesale and retail level.
• Exceptional sales techniques with excellent organizational, interpersonal and sales-related skills, ability to build long term relationships with clients thanks to good communication.
• Proven track record of brand building with client management/follow up skills.
• Accountability and trust, ability to also work independently in a productive way.
• Self-motivation with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Ability to inspire creative thought and “out of the box” ideas to grow business in the US market, exhibit initiative, and operate in a manner that is both creative and proactive.
• Excellent oral, written communication and negotiation skills.
• Candidates who are eligible to work in the US are preferred.
