Main Purpose
To pioneer, exploit and drive sales opportunities in the trade channels whilst supporting the longer term brand equity growth of Absolut Elyx.

Overall Responsibilities:
• Be the key commercial support contact for all local markets across all channels and disciplines for the brand.
• Work with local markets to build comprehensive sales strategies in all markets.
• Monitor and support all sales driving activities.
• Manage the relationships between Elyx and all key trade partners.
• Work with prestige team to build strong Prestige / Elyx platform to optimize all sales opportunities.
• Work with the trade team on the development of comprehensive US focused trade strategies for Absolut Elyx to include on-premise and off-premise channels.
• Work with local teams to identify and build brand conversion opportunities in trade channels.
• Constantly monitor and provide detailed market information on local market trade status.
• Provide information to team about potential volume opportunities and challenges in local markets
• Further build and expand the trade network for Absolut Elyx in local markets.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with all distributors and align on tactics, resources and approach to winning at L3F.
• Forecast case volumes to achieve volume objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Set up the Field for clear, flawless commercialization and execution through clear communication and alignment across HQ Marketing, and Field Marketing and Sales (Divisions and National Accounts).
• Ensure plans & deliverables are aligned with local market and National Account teams – get continuous feedback from the field and feed in to the NY team.
• Set up Field Marketing & Sales teams to drive success of local plans to support Absolut Elyx – helping to ensure that these plans amplify national marketing strategies.

Champion Absolut Elyx with Field Sales and in local markets.
• Monitor how field is doing against performance standards and strategic imperatives (and understand issues, constraints or success factors). While members of the Commercial Finance Team have ultimately accountability for KPIs, the Commercial Manager needs to understand reasons for performance through informal and formal checks.
• Champion new and optimum ways to engage, excite and incentivize the sales force.
• Attend & present at local meetings to champion Absolut Elyx when required.
• Capture key learnings/issues, recap and apply to future plans.
• Evaluate programming on a quarterly basis
• Provide recommendations on course corrections – in pricing, channel strategy, Category Management, Shelving, Key (halo) account programming or other aspects of field execution based on grounded in-market feedback.
• Leverage Field Sales and National Accounts insights to create commercial/innovation opportunities
• Identify, recommend and share process improvements as it relates to field innovation processes – A&P spend, ways of working(WOW), etc.
• Evaluate competitor strategies, tools and execution in trade.

Key Activities:
• Organization, implementation and communication of key sales concepts as required
• Monitor and analyse brand progress and opportunities in local markets.
• Analyze on-premise market needs and competitive activities.
• Identify and drive volume growth strategies in USA.
• Work with the trade team to build winning solutions for local markets.

• General work experience min 10 yrs
• Sound knowledge of the Spirits Industry in USA required (3 tier system)
• 5 years Sales Experience required, distribution and finance experience a plus
• English language spoken and written
• Excellent project management skills
• Proven experience with budget management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to take own initiatives, focus on customers and execution.
• Ability to work in a structured way in spite of a constantly evolving environment
• Strong social and interpersonal skills
• Team oriented
• Structured and with attention to detail
• Genuine drive and passion for the drinks business.
