The HR Business Partner/Manager for Caribbean, Central South America (CCSA) is accountable for full HR management responsibilities required to build management strength and leadership capabilities across the region. The HRBP fosters a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement, while promoting a shared.

understanding of Brown-Forman values, operating principles, and cultural change imperatives. Ultimately, this role works to align HR policies and processes to support the achievement of business goals. Further, as Business Partner to the region, this role is expected to serve as a holistic thought partner on a variety of matters which may stretch beyond the tradition HR discipline, but encompass the B-F way of doing business.

Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil this role supports PUB (Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil) and LAC (Latin America, Caribbean) jointly. Together PUB and LAC make up the full region of CCSA.

Key Areas of Responsibility

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS & COMPLIANCE: Engage regularly with the teams to create a positive and productive employee relations environment, while providing feedback for pro-active intervention and resolution of people-related concerns. Lead investigation processes, partnering with HRD and legal. Communicate appropriate policy and procedures. Ensures compliance with local labor laws and Brown-Forman Corporate standards for all policies and procedures. Partner with internal and external legal teams to ensure compliance and employee relations recommendations are adhered to. Advises management personnel regarding proper interpretations and practical application of all existing governmental and corporate requirements and regulations.

PEOPLE & ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Support the full CCSA organization in its ability to build their own development plans to support growth in place and/or pointed towards career interests ensuring their success and readiness for those roles. In partnership with regional PDC, diagnoses regional development needs and executes against them. Co-facilitator with PDC of global learning solutions, programs (such as People Days). Track and measure regional learning impact. Provide coaching and counseling to business partners and employees. Facilitate the activation of people and business strategies. Execute local executive coaching assignments. Oversee and support the ongoing efforts surrounding employee Engagement + Enablement assessment data, including focus group workshops, action plans and specific E+E initiatives.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT: Provide direction and support on the process to ensure robust conversations occur between managers and employees regarding performance, including honest and accurate feedback, and the process in place to facilitate goal alignment, rating decisions, merit and bonus decisions.

ORGANIZATIONAL DESIGN: Utilizes Workday and other current technology to maintain accurate data, publishes assigned reports and prepares analysis as needed. Manages and/or leads special projects as required. Provides analysis to management at all levels i.e., workforce planning, competency modeling, performance measures, organizational chart changes and updates.

CHANGE & DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT: Lead by example in the diversity and inclusion strategy for the company, actively engaging in this work and creating an environment of inclusive leadership. Partner with leaders in change efforts for the organization providing the structure and framework that facilitates the desired outcome. Work with office of D&I, HR and Business Partners to lead and design a comprehensive D&I strategy and execute strategic initiatives within region.

TALENT ACQUISITION & ONBOARDING: Actively participate in the selection and placement of highly capable talent, i.e., getting the right people in the right jobs, based on a full understanding of the business, its culture and key goals. Manages the recruitment process with the Global Talent Acquisition partner to ensure the process runs smoothly to build the best, diverse workforce. Develop onboarding plans for all new hires which enable successful transitions to B-F values, behaviors, roles & responsibilities.

TOTAL REWARDS: Manages/monitors payroll, status changes, wage/salary administration, vacation, hires, maternity leave etc. in Brazil. Gathers all payroll data from finance and sales departments. Makes necessary inputs into the upload files. Collects all necessary inputs on monthly payroll. Coordinate and validate the outputs. The contact for Safeguard (payroll provider) on daily basis (ordering monthly and complementary benefits, gathering documentation for monthly and ad hoc taxes payments). Approves vacations and termination payments and coordinates its approval with the union. Monitors Results Anywhere program in Brazil.

Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
• Minimum 5 – 10 years of experience serving in an HR Business Partner or similarly situated role, with demonstrated experience aligning HR initiatives to the business needs as part of a cross-functional leadership team.
• PHR, SPHR or other related HR credentials preferred.
• Business fluent in English and at least one other language spoken in the region.
