Our spirits are born of science and experience, created in custom made pot and column stills with our own unique distillation process. We continually test new recipes and try new processes to create amazing spirits that we think you’ll love. Our facilities are located on 30-acres in Dripping Springs and feature a state-of-the-art distillery capable of increasing production, allowing us to continue to expand nationally. Our new home is also a food and beverage destination, including a tasting room, gift shop and restaurant. In the spirit of growing our distillery family we are searching for a rare individual who is creative, driven, and has experience in the Wine, Spirits, and Hospitality industry. This individual will possess a rare passion for Spirits in all aspects, from the process behind how it’s made to the heritage, history, and nuances of the different categories. This role has both commercial sales as well as marketing goals, working to drive growth, increase brand awareness, drive menu/feature, placements/points of distribution, lead staff trainings, support sales teams and increase the volume and velocity of case depletions in a targeted account universe. We are a small company so being nimble and flexible is key as we build these amazing brands. The ideal candidate has 3+ years’ experience selling in the on-premise and can tap into their existing relationships with key bartenders, decision makers and distributor staff. They will have the ability to understand trends & insights being brought in by our network around the country and be able to translate this knowledge into commercial action. This person also knows how to connect our brands with an influential consumer audience and will be critical in delivering the goals and objectives for the brand's success in the market.

Role Outcomes
Development of effective, long term relationships with key influencers leading them to endorse our brands
Establish positive rapport with consumers and trade by executing branded initiatives, events, sponsorship and partnership activations.

Primary Responsibilities/Activities:
1. Drive case sales by gaining new points of distribution and menu placements across a strategic account universe, per annual and season KPIs.
2. Drive sales with category-specific trade programming and brand educations and experiences.
3. Brand, Cocktail and Category education and training.
4. Serve as brand/category/bartending expert
5. Work to establish and leverage Treaty Oak Distilling as experts in our categories
6. Develops and maintains lasting relationships with bartenders, trade and key influencers
7. Utilize category knowledge to represent Treaty Oak and Waterloo in local industry panel discussions
8. Have expert knowledge on competitor brands
9. Support national initiatives in local market & nationally; serve as a host on scheduled visits to brand’s home place when applicable.
10. Participate in distributor sales meetings as needed to support brands.
11. Provide specific brand expertise in retail interactions to leverage a brand opportunity, when requested by distributors.
12. Provide innovative recipe development with key trends and forecasting.
13. Increase Brand visibility through social media channels.
14. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop local and national platforms and programs.
15. Facilitate Austin Distillery visits for accounts, consumers etc.
16. Connect with multiple external contacts, including: Production teams, Sponsorship partners, Media partners, Distributor, Retailers, Bartenders and wait staff, Promotion agencies, Consumers.
17. Ensure alignment with internal stakeholders such as Distributors, Brand Team, Regional VPs
18. Recap and share best practices from local activation and communicate competitive intelligence
19. Report menu placements.
20. Report market trends within on/off premise community.
21. Proactive communication with local market and distributor partners.
22. Provide weekly pre-plans of intended activity
23. Monthly recap of all activities.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
1. Previous experience in the Wine & Spirits Industry
2. Undergraduate Degree or commensurate work experience in the industry
3. Professional personal appearance and presentation personifying the brands and upholding our core values: Understands that we represent Treaty Oak distilling at all times.
4. Computer skills: Microsoft Office and Google
5. Consultative selling skills.
6. Proven training ability and persuasive selling skills.
7. Ability to retain key product information
8. Passion for the drinks business with respect to the customers and consumers individual needs.
9. Effective informal relationships across multiple industries within your market.
10. Familiar with developing PowerPoint presentations
11. Effective presentation skills in front of various levels of expertise
12. Ability to lead Spirited dinners, storytelling sessions and meeting presentations
13. Ability to create and plan events that incorporate multiple media/channel consumer touch-points.
14. Able to collaborate, develop, and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams
15. Proven passion to help bring the brand to life in formal and informal settings.
16. Experience in understanding the motivations of bar owners, managers and service staff.
17. Excellent public speaking, presentation and communication skills.
18. Has sound financial skills and experience managing a budget.
19. Must be able to personally pay or charge ordinary and necessary business expenses that will be timely reimbursed.
20. Familiar and able to work with relevant social media channels.
21. Must not be involved with, promoting, working for, or representing any other beer, wine or spirit brand

Essential Physical Functions:

• Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to pick up and transport Point of Sale (POS), event equipment, and product.
• Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends).
• Willingness to travel up to 30%
• Candidate must reside in or near the territory
• Valid Driver’s License

Base Salary: $50,000 – $ 60,000 DOE
Bonus Opportunity: $6,000
