Scope of Position:
Support Engineering projects at JD Inc., Prop, and Home place by preparation of drawings, construction documents, field supervision, operations and training documentation.

Basic Function:
Prepares mechanical, electrical, process, architectural and equipment arrangement drawings. Prepares construction cost estimates and work with staff Engineers, contractors and maintenance personnel on project installation and start-up.

Job Responsibilities:
Manage all AutoCAD and Inventor drafting work
Design and prepare finished, construction-quality drawings for: piping and process
systems, material handling systems, bottling line layouts, equipment machine drawings, and P&ID drawings.
Design and prepare construction-quality drawings for: electrical distribution, control wiring diagrams, electrical interconnect drawings, and P.L.C" target="_blank">P.L.C. ladder logic diagrams.
Organize and maintain Engineering AutoCAD, drawing, and document files. Insure completion and accuracy of"As-Built" drawings.
Generate required "As-built" drawings of existing plants. Prepare material takeoffs and cost estimates for capital projects. Develops construction documents and specifications.
Assist staff Engineers and plant Engineers with construction management, installation, start-up, commissioning, and operating/training documentation.
Provide periodic field supervision/inspection of project installation/construction. Field surveys to determine as built process, pipes, and electrical systems.
Supervise and direct work of student interns as assigned.

Minimum Experience Requirements:
Mechanical drafting Degree in Engineering Technology with 3+ years' experience in mechanical design and drafting. Demonstrated proficiency using Autodesk products.
Experience with industrial construction methods/standards.
Experience with development of equipment layouts, piping and process systems, bottling line layouts, P&ID's and electrical drawings.
AutoCAD and Inventor 2017 or newer, Autodesk Rivet. Extensive knowledge of Geometric Tolerancing.
Extensive knowledge using a variety of measuring and locating equipment. Knowledge of Kst and Pmax values.
Knowledge of metal properties and effects of temperature, pressure and moisture.
Ability to work with contractors and coworkers to come up with solutions for design issues.
Working knowledge of OSHA standards and building codes. Excellent written and oral communication skills
Capable of short-term, intermittent travel.
Must know how to use Parameters, I-Properties, and I-Parts.
Must know how to trouble shoot CAD Programs and make changes to make them more efficient.
Must have knowledge and use of multiple Engineering Fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Architectural.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office,(i.e. Power Point, Excel, and MS Word), Google drive and Email, Paint and Snip-it, etc.
Ability to work in all conditions, sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
Must have strong problem solving skills and high attention to detail and file organization skills.
Must be able to handle multiple assignments at once and work independently with little or no supervision.

Preferred Requirements:
Project Management experience.
Experience with conducting meetings live and WebX. Integrate other forms of files into AutoCAD or Inventor. Experience in a production enviromnent.
Experience in training Autodesk Products to new and older users. Practical construction management experience.
P.L.C" target="_blank">P.L.C. programming/debugging aptitude. Machine design experience.
Plant maintenance or construction work experience. Sanitary process design experience.
CMM experience /Quality inspection experience, Drawing board experience.
Food/Beverage Industry experience.
