Job Description

The Director of the Beverage Business Institute in the College of Business at Colorado State University is responsible for building the presence, reputation and financial stability of the BBI in the College, across the University and the region, and developing supporting programming and related initiatives for the beverage industry. 
The Director pursues the mission of the Institute and holds the core knowledge and expertise to create industry-relevant content for the beverage industry. The Director will serve as the spokesperson for the Institute to build awareness, develop important partnerships, build community, develop a vibrant ecosystem of beverage industry experts and insure the financial stability of the Institute. The Director will have a growth mindset, and will build and engage the advisory board as advocates and collaborators in expanding the Institute. In addition, the Beverage Business Institute Director will work closely with the College of Business Development team to identify key needs and initiatives, identify and build relationship with potential donors, and assist in fundraising for the Institute.

The Director of the Beverage Business Institute reports to the Assistant Dean of the College of Business.


•Bachelor’s degree •Minimum of 7 years professional experience in the beverage industry. •Experience working in and/or knowledge of the beverage industry such as malt beverages, wine, spirits, and soft drinks •Working knowledge of beverage industry business functions including operations, sales, production, supply chain and marketing •Relevant project management skills.
