Summary/Objective

The Brand Ambassador is responsible for providing information about the brand, generating sales opportunities and working to build customer preference for the brand. He or she will develop and maintain relationships with accounts and distributor salespeople, increase distribution and menu listings on behalf of the brand.  The Brand Ambassador will train staff, create and support special events, and create excitement that will further grow the brand in the designated territory. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Serves as the market level brand champion influencing and infecting others with passion for the brand
  • Recommends local strategies & tactics to drive brand growth and consumer affinity
  • Provides brand education and motivation to distributor personnel through via brand knowledge and personal leadership at retail
  • Builds relationships with all levels of target on- and off-premise accounts to influence purchase and promotional decisions
  • Delivers retail training seminars to build enthusiasm and understanding for the brand amongst waitstaff
  • Organizes and executes targeted retail and distributor programs and incentives as legal
  • Executes promotional activities independently and in coordination with third party agencies
  • Sets weekly, monthly & quarterly goals for the role in conjunction with supervisor
  • Represents the company in a positive way
  • Promotes brand by conducting promotional activities in restaurants, bars and other accounts

  • Interacts with team members, customers and sales prospects

  • Communicates with the media

  • Assists market managers with the implementation of marketing campaigns

  • Shares ideas with supervisors regarding new ways to market the brand

  • Maintains a customer database and makes regular contacts

  • Sets up and breaks down displays of the brand

  • Attends sales and marketing meetings

  • Provides customer feedback regarding the brand to market managers

    Supervisory Responsibility

    This position is an individual contributor and does not manage/supervise other employees.

     

    Work Environment

    This job operates in a multi-site location, including, on-premise promotions with suppliers and retailers and other meetings and events.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week and requires flexibility to work evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

     

    Travel

    This position requires up to 20% travel.

     

    Required Education and Experience

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
    2. Must reside in the assigned market area
    3. Must have license to serve alcohol, where applicable
    4. Must be at least 21 years of age

     

    Preferred Education and Experience

    1. Fluent in Italian
