Position Title: Manager, Regional and Emerging Customers – Northeast
Position Location: Northeast (home-based or NYC HQ office)
The primary purpose of this role is to lead, develop, and manage an assigned customer base of regional chains through owning / driving strategic account plans and guiding PRUSA total portfolio of brands. This individual will work closely with key internal and external partners to establish tailored customer and marketing plans for assigned accounts.
Additionally, this individual will drive PRUSA’s initial strategy and account expansion into emerging channels such as Fast Casual and other non-traditional on-premise customers. The future account base will be identified and prioritized to pursue overall growth for Pernod Ricard portfolio.
Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
Regional Chains: (70% of time)
•Grow Pernod Ricard overall share and volume faster than the category
•Drive menu placements, distribution and activations for Pernod Ricard total portfolio
•Plan and develop regional marketing and sales initiatives as well as brand priorities for assigned regional accounts
•Lead marketing and product innovations in regional accounts
•Balance programs in regional account across state mix
•Leverage effective nationally generated ideas in developing regional level sales tactics
•Communicate, survey, sell-in and implement regional marketing and sales initiatives as well as brand priorities
•Identify shopper marketing, multicultural / digital programs
•Share data and insights with division marketing to assist in local market planning process and enable evaluation of marketing programs
•Track and deliver KPIs in assigned accounts
•Utilize standard ways of working from national chains and implement them in Regional Chains
Emerging Channels: (30% of time)
•Lead Pernod Ricard expansion into new and emerging channels
•Working in conjunction with VP of National Chains, Emerging Channels, set strategy and gain organizational alignment.
•Identify customer base and target account list. Account base to explore emerging fast casual chains, non-traditional customers (Airbnb, WeWorks etc.)
•Generate initial account contacts and relationships
•Identify portfolio approach and build funding model to support strategy.
•Sell strategy, funding model into Sr. Mgmt.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
Experience / Background: A minimum of 5-7 plus years of proven success in sales serving a large number of diverse retailers; ideally, experience with distributors and direct key account or channel responsibility.
Field Environment: Work is performed in a typical field environment with moderate demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage. Frequent travel by land and/or air in diverse weather conditions is required.
Estimate: 35% of time.
